The Tirunelveli 2nd Additional Sessions Court Judge T S Nanda Kumar awarded death sentence to Kaattu Raja (32) and ''Vettum'' Perumal (33) on December 26, 2012 for murdering Jayakumar (35), his wife Shanmugathaai (33), their daughters Indhira (11) and Bhuvaneswari alias Chitra (8) in their house at Meenavankulam village in Tirunelveli district on April 19, 2007.
