COMMON LAW ADMISSION TEST, 2018

CLAT-2017, 13th May, 2018 (Sunday) 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India entrance examination conducted on rotation by 19 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to their under-graduate and post-graduate degree programmes (LL.B. and LL.M.). The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2018) will be conducted by the National Law University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) Kochi.

Eligibility: To be eligible to appear in CLAT-2018, a candidate should have obtained Higher Secondary School/ Intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent certificate from a recognized Board with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC and ST candidates), as prescribed by the respective Statutes of the participating Universities. No upper age limit is prescribed for appearing in CLAT- 2018. However, such candidates are required to have passed the qualifying examination at the time of their admission and must be able to submit proofs in support of their claims.

Pattern of CLAT (Under-Graduate Programme)

English including Comprehension 40 Marks
General Knowledge and Current Affairs 50 Marks
Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability) 20 Marks
Legal Aptitude 50 Marks
Logical Reasoning 40 Marks
Note: There shall be a system of Negative Marking wherein 0.25 marks will be deducted for each of the wrong answer.

 

Application Form and Information Brochure for CLAT 2018
The CLAT 2018 Online Application Form will be accessible on the CLAT website (www.clat.ac.in) between 1st January, 2018 to 31st March, 2018 along-with the Information Brochure. No hard copy of the Application Form and Information Brochure will be sold.

Fees

The fees to be remitted while submitting the Online Application Form of CLAT-2018 for Unreserved/OBC/PWD and other category candidates: Rs. 4000 (Non refundable / non adjustable) and (for SC and ST category candidates it is Rs.3500). The above application fee includes cost of online application form and e-brochure. Offline payments can be made after registering the application online and generating challans online. The print outs of the challans generated have to be taken to the relevant bank for payment over the counter. Offline payments are to be made in CASH only.
